About the Australian Marine Complex

The Australian Marine Complex (AMC),Australia's leading integrated industrial estate, is located at Cockburn Sound, 15km south of Fremantle, Western Australia.

The AMC had its genesis in a highly successful shipbuilding and repair and maintenance industry. It was dramatically transformed with the investment of over $300million by the state and federal governments in a fabrication precinct incorporating a Common User Facility and has grown to become the leading force in the Asia Pacific Region for the sub sea, oil and gas Industries.

Since opening in July 2003 the Common User Facility has generated more that $300million for the locally economy and created over 3,500 jobs.

The AMC provides a world class venue for the fabrication, assembly and maintenance of large scale marine projects including LNG trains, pressure vessels, jacket structures, major subsea components and large ship fitouts.

A 99m x 53m floating dock and a self propelled modular transporter were commissioned in 2010 to add further capability to the AMC as part of a $174 million infrastructure upgrade.
